For this month’s DETECT, we welcome a highly respected member of our community, and London’s wider queer techno family.

The sonic compositions in @sommefarris’ unconventional, visceral cross-genre sets give a nod to his photographic background by focusing on the relationship between patterns and energy. Although working across a variety of sounds, his compositions naturally follow his affection for the groove, the percussion, and the sensual.

Upon moving to London, he returned to music through the exploration of his roots in Syria and Iraq, specialising in Levant Electronic Music.
